Not sure I get this blog thing. At first I was trying to figure out how to answer some of the blogs and then realized this isn't e-mail. Could be a long Spring. Can't wait until next week to see whatelse I need to figure out. I'll just call Kathi and Charlene, the Valley girls. Carolyn, call me.....don't blog me, if you figure out what we are to do next week. I'm glad we have Monday off......I'll practice blogging.

I bought a Wordpress for Dummies book. I'm using Wordpress instead of Blogger, but I wish I had gone with Blogger. Would a book about blogging help?
ReplyDeleteI think you have gotten the hang of it. You're doing great.
I should clarify that the Wordpress book wouldn't help you, but I did find a book about blogs on the SMSD catalog. East has Blogging for Dummies-- not that you're a dummy.
ReplyDeleteBut if you're like me, you're too busy running the library by yourself and don't have time to read. There is a video segment on blogging on Learn360. I'm not sure if it's a tutorial though. You might be able to watch it while you multitask.
I also wondered how to answer blogs. If the blogger doesn't have a public blog, you cannot answer them directly (by clicking on their name). However, you can post a comment to your own blog and answer them. I was advised to direct the comment to that person's name.
ReplyDeleteKeep plugging away at your blog. I'm still trying to figure out the setup of my blog and ideas/topics to write about.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great - you even have some discussion going, which is what every blogger wants. I agree with Gwen, figuring out what to write about is often the hardest part. I take notes from various continuing education workshops on mine - the latest post is about Reader's Advisory.
